This white sage hydrosol was distilled with my friends and colleagues Cathy and Florian when they came to the perfumery in Agoura Hills to teach a class on Alchemy. We gathered the sage after the bees had pollenated the flowers from my home garden and then distilled the fresh Spring stocks on a beautiful piece of property located on the mesa of Topanga, California using local well water.
The notes are very true to white sage, which is similar to culinary sage but with an imprint of California sun, clay soil and Pacific Ocean salt water.
Hydrosols may be used as an aromatic mist for the home, to hydrate the complexion, and as an uplifting spritz. These gentle plant waters are a great addition to ones herbal plant tool box.
