This Custom Perfume Mini Session is a focused, 90-minute introduction to the art of botanical perfume creation.
The offering is a distilled version of my longer, immersive custom scent experience, designed for those who wish to explore the creation of a personal perfume without the extended time commitment of my full immersive session.
In this hands-on natural perfume experience, attendee(s) are introduced to the spectrum of this art form—from the esoteric roots of perfumery through alchemy and science. Roxana will personally guide you in the creation of your very own custom perfume using a pre-selected, curated palette of plant essences based on intention and scent family.
A loose perfume formula is created by Roxana in advance to support the scent experience and the making of the perfume.
The Experience
The session begins with an introduction to perfumery, including a brief history, followed by an exploration of the language and structure of perfume making. Topics include top, middle, and base notes; fragrance families; and the principles of building a balanced perfume.
Each attendee blends their custom perfume under professional guidance, departing with a signature fragrance and a deeper understanding of the art of natural, botanical perfumery.
Roxana has been teaching variations of this perfume-making workshop since the early 2000s beginning with aromatherapy classes at the Santa Monica School of Massage.

The final fragrance is contained in a 4-gram glass rectangular bottle, created in a base of 190-proof organic grain alcohol or jojoba oil (dab-on).
This session uses only plant-based materials, no synthetic or animal-derived ingredients.

The botanical essences available in this session may include:
Citrus:
Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin, Sweet or Bitter Orange, Petitgrain
Herbs, Leaves & Spices:
Clary Sage, Clove, Geranium, Ginger, Lavender, Rosemary, Patchouli, Pepper
Resins:
Labdanum, Frankincense, Galbanum, Oakmoss, Styrax (essential oils, CO₂ extracts, and absolutes)
Woods & Roots:
Cedarwood, Juniper, Vetiver
If you wish to work with essences not listed above, such as Ambrette, Jasmine, Rose, Vanilla, Yuzu, or others, please inquire in advance.
Together we will smell several vital, pure extractions to determine which materials work harmoniously to create a fragrance that feels deeply personal and empowering to wear.

About the Mini Session
This offering is intentionally designed as a shorter experience. While it includes guided blending and the creation of a finished custom perfume, it does not include the extended exploration or more in-depth formula refinement found in my longer immersive custom perfume sessions.
For those wishing to explore more deeply or spend additional time refining a scent, I invite you to choose the more expansive experience.

Pricing is $250 for one attendee, with additional participants at $150 each (groups are intentionally kept small to ensure a focused, hands-on experience).
